Covenant Presbyterian Church 

Volunteer Position Description: Technology Committee 

Support the current technology infrastructure at Covenant and explore ways to grow and support our mission. Technology can enhance relationships and personalize them to a degree never before possible. Our vision:

• Increase efficiencies and cost savings within our church.

• Making it easier for committees, small groups, and members to communicate with each other and prospective members.
• Making it easier for everyone to find out what is going on at Covenant.
• Support our outreach through the web.

General areas of supporting our current technology infrastructure:

1. Software

• Ensure licenses are up to date on all software
• Virus protection
• Office Software
• ACS (Automated Computer System)
• Bible study
• Operating systems

2. Network and Infrastructure

• File Server maintenance, security, and backup
• Phone system

3. Hardware

• Computers
• Printers
• Copier

4. Web Site (subcommittee)

• Design and maintenance of Covenant’s web site – outreach inside and outside Covenant

5. Technology Policies

• Maintain and update technology policies as necessary
