Sunday School offerings for 2007-2008
Children's Sunday School: Workshop rotation starting in room 8 This approach to Sunday School allows children to learn a Bible story each month in different ways: drama, music, science, computer, video, art. The first lesson will be Genesis. Our Director of Christian Education, Susie Williams, is the coordinator.
Confirmation Class: Grades 6th through 8th in room 2
The Confirmation Class includes all 6-8 graders and covers the New Testament, The Marks of Membership and the Old Testament. This year the class will start with an overview of the entire Bible and then a detailed study of the New Testament. The first class sessions will be led by Rev. Laura Frazey with subsequent sessions being led by various teachers from Covenant.
Senior High: Grades 9-12 in the Mudhole
This study will cover both the Bible and current issues facing this age group. This class will be taught on Sunday morning by Lauren Hubbard and Adam Erickson and Wednesday evening by Andi Rutherford and Adam Erickson.
Adult Sunday Options
· Introduction to Discipleship: This 6 week study is intended for people who want to explore the central elements of discipleship:
Bible study, Theology, Church history, Mission, Spiritual Gifts and Community. The class will be taught by Rev. Dr. Rob Erickson and Rev. Laura Frazey and elders in the church on Sunday Morning
· "Disciple: Becoming Disciples through Bible Study" This curriculum covers the entire Bible over the course of one year. We will be studying the Old Testament for the first 17 weeks and the New Testament over the next 17 weeks. The class will be taught on Sunday morning by Ken Ferrell and Wednesday by Rev. Rob Erickson.
· The Thoughtful Christian: This is a web based current events curriculum that addresses Christian understanding and responses to the issue of the day.
· Tuesdays Women's Bible study at 1: 15 pm at Copper Oven with Rev. Laura Frazey.
· Thursday morning men's prayer breakfast at 8:00 am at Riverside Cafe with by Rev. Rob Erickson.
